I hope you all are doing well and getting ready for the holiday for the season!
As always, this week in support has been very interesting. While working on different cases, many things will catch my interest as I see how our Champions/Form builders pay attention to details while testing new Forms and come across some questions.
One of these cases had the following question: “Why don’t I see Images in the email I receive after submitting a Form, but the PDF attached to the same email has those images in it.”
We come across questions like this regularly, as using a standard PDF and an email destination is a common practice and configuring the email destination with ‘Use a standard HTML Document for the body’ is very popular to use in a Form.
While it may be unexpected for the images to not show up in the email, this is the expected behavior. Rest assured, you did not make any mistakes while configuring email destination.
ProntoForms does not render images in emails with a standard HTML body. Excluding images helps manage an email's size and reduces chances of bloating the email with duplicate information found in the attached PDF(s).
For example, the screenshot below is from an email I received after submitting a Form.
And the screenshot below is from the PDF which was attached in the same email:
If you notice similar behavior and your email destination is configured as mentioned above, you don’t need to worry, everything is working as it should.
